About Simcoach Games:

We are looking to hire a freelance Python Developer to support ongoing projects and help with the development of new features for our interactive platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and work on impactful projects in a collaborative environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Code Development: Assist in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code for various applications and projects.
  • Feature Implementation: Support the development of new features and improvements to existing systems under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Bug Fixing: Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the codebase.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Testing: Conduct basic unit testing to ensure code functionality and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for the codebase and processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python: Foundational understanding of Python programming language and its standard libraries.
  • Knowledge of Web Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks such as Flask or Django is a plus.
  • Basic Understanding of Databases: Some experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.
  • Version Control: Experience using Git for version control.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and come up with practical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Eagerness to Learn: Open to feedback and ready to expand your skill set in a collaborative environment.
  • Education: A degree or certification in Computer Science or related fields is preferred but not required.

 

Project Timeline:

  • We are looking to start with a small engagement to assess fit and performance. Based on performance, we may expand the scope of work.

 

Rates and Budget:

  • Please include your proposed hourly rate or project fee. We’re open to discussing rates based on your experience and the scope of the work.
