Job description

Join our team as a Payroll Clerk. You are an important piece of the puzzle, performing a variety of administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization’s payroll and human resource department.

Responsibilities:

· Data entries into the Judiciary’s Human Resources Management and Information System (HRMIS) utilize the HRMIS worklist to perform actions related to employee hires, rehires, and terminations, including federal, state, and local tax forms, direct deposit forms, allotment forms, and other payroll deductions and taxable or non-taxable benefit adjustments.

· Respond to court unit inquiries and to written employment verification requests.

· Performs administrative and clerical duties, including responding to customer inquiries via phone or email, maintaining files, reviewing and sorting PSB mail, and distributing it properly and in a timely manner.

· Maintain and update payroll records.

· Prepare periodic payroll reports.

· Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

· At least one year of administrative experience in payroll or human resources or accounting or bookkeeping is required

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Knowledge to basic math, including calculating fractions and percentages

· Ability to follow written instructions on policies and procedures

· Flexibility regarding scheduling meetings and activities, routinely gathering, collating, and classifying payroll documents, as well as incoming and outgoing mail

· Ability to work independently and work in a team environment while respecting confidentiality of sensitive information

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45,760.00 - $52,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
