Session Leader/Musician Performer Role (Independent Contractor): Mind&Melody is a non-profit organization that focuses on bringing interactive music programs to seniors and children in the community.

The Session Leader will be responsible for leading the entire music session by guiding the participants through the lesson and directing all planned activities, such as singing songs and playing music games. Training is provided.

Due to this being an altruistic venture with a tight budget, we ask for a minimum of 6 month commitment from applicants who are accepted.

*Sessions are In-person*

Locations/Time:
Programs in NEW YORK take place between the Bronx, NYC, and more as we expand in the area ! during the times of 10am-4pm on Monday-Friday. This job is a couple of hours a month.

Session Rate: $40-60/hr

Skills Needed:

• Strong public speaking, teaching, and performing skills
• Sight-reading skills, transposition skills, excellent intonation
• Wide repertoire 30s-90s preferred or willingness to learn new music.
• Being able to play by ear
• Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Singing and Guitar/Piano preferred
