Position Summary:

As a massage therapist for a sports massage business, you will be responsible for providing professional and therapeutic massage services to clients. Your primary focus will be on delivering specialized sports massage techniques to athletes and individuals engaged in physical activities. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, knowledge of sports-related injuries, and the ability to tailor treatments to meet clients' specific needs.

3. Apply appropriate massage techniques: Employ various sports massage modalities such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, stretching, trigger point therapy, and sports-specific techniques to address individual client needs. Adjust pressure, pace, and intensity based on client feedback and comfort levels.

4. Communication and client education: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, educate them on the benefits of sports massage, and provide recommendations for post-massage self-care techniques. Offer advice on injury prevention, stretching exercises, and other strategies to enhance physical performance.

5. Maintain accurate records: Document client information accurately, including medical histories, treatment notes, and progress reports. Ensure confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.

6. Cleanliness and hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including massage rooms, equipment, and supplies. Adhere to proper sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.

7. Professional development: Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and advancements in sports massage therapy. Pursue continuing education opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in the field.

8. Collaborate with the team: Communicate effectively with receptionists, therapists, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and coordinated client care. Share insights, contribute to team meetings, and participate in professional development activities.

9. Uphold professional standards: Adhere to ethical standards, code of conduct, and licensing requirements of your profession. Treat all clients with respect, professionalism, and empathy.
