Our Fortune 500 food industry client is looking for a Culinary Specialist for an ONSITE opportunity at their Rosemont location.

 

The Culinary Specialist will:

·       Collaborate with the Culinary Team with sample inventory control including samples labeling, incoming order unboxing, stocking and rotating frozen and cooler samples.

·       Follow exact manufacturer cooking instructions.

·       Support special events by preparing attractive platters and hot food cookery.

·       Set up and breakdown buffets supporting special events and internal activities.

·       Lead freezer and cooler clean outs with Product Developers and Chefs.

·       Collaborate with Culinary & Inventory Specialist with ordering and receipt of products both internally and with external suppliers.

·       Provide short- and long-term inventory control management.

·       Coordinate weekly product donations to Greater Chicago Food Depository.

 

Qualifications

·       Minimum of 2 years relevant kitchen experience, with prior experience in a large, fast-paced foodservice environment strongly preferred.

·       Restaurant experience or 2-year Culinary Degree preferred.

·       Must have experience in inventory and ordering procedures.

·       Food Service Sanitation Certification a plus.

·       Spanish speaking skills a plus.

 

This is an onsite opportunity in Rosemont, IL. Monday – Thursday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. This is a temporary role with an estimated contract length of 1 year.
