Job Objective: Assess and counsel children, adolescents and adults affected by abuse/neglect, domestic violence, substance abuse, trauma, mental, and emotional issues.
Service interventions will include: Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, group psychoeducation/therapy, crisis intervention, targeted case management, client advocacy, court appearances, home visits, clinical assessments, kinship assessments, prevention, and education.
Job Status: Full Time/ Part Time/PRN
Accountable to: Clinical Supervisor
Job Qualification: Doctoral Degree in the Human Services Field.
LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT in the state of Georgia
Master Level professional eligible for state licensure under supervision.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling – from an accredited university or college, and with documentation of supervised clinical experience.
- Must have minimally 3-4 years work experience in social work, counseling or human services
- Knowledge of the DSMV TR diagnoses, crisis management, substance abuse, intensive case management, community resources, rehabilitation supports preferred for children, at-risk youth, and their families.
- Knowledgeable of the DFCS system, legal system, educational system, mental health system, ecological system.
- Knowledgeable of Client’s Rights
- Competent with the Professional Code of Ethics
- Knowledgeable in writing Treatment Plans, BIRP notes, Discharge plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player concepts.
- Court Testimony Experience a Plus
- Experience in writing Biopsychosocials, Behavioral Health assessments, Behavioral Plans other clinical assessments.
- Must maintain yearly professional liability insurance.
