POSITION SUMMARY: Third Shift Opportunity
Schedule is Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6:30am
The Material Handler is responsible for the proper handling of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and internal customer service. This role performs a variety of stockroom functions including production order picking, warehouse storage, packaging of finished goods, inventory control, supply documentation, data input, and material distribution. This position works with a team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations within the warehouse and storage facility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Handling (90%)
· Loads and unloads liquid and dry bulk material within a warehouse or storage facility.
· Safely operates material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment.
· Assists in maintaining the flow of work and materials based on scheduled supplier deliveries, customer orders, and other internal or external delivery requirements according to established priorities.
· Performs and ensures accurate and timely computer and physical transactions as well as verifies accuracy of transactions/paperwork regarding receiving, stocking, movement, shipping or other required material or goods activities.
· May prepare, mark/label/tag and/or package and assemble materials or goods for receipt, storage, delivery or shipment according to location or customer requirement.
· Samples liquid bulk and dry goods.
· Maintains and improves month end inventory accuracy. Assists or conducts activities such cycle counts, physical counts, hand counts or other inventory validation and control measures as assigned.
· Maintains orderly, clean and safe work area.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Leadership (10%)
· Operates safely within policies, procedures and governmental regulations and fully participates in and champions Environmental, Health & Safety Programs
· Ensures the Environmental, Health & Safety Programs are being followed and provides a safe working environment to our employees and customers
· Accountable for building a strong safety culture and actively pursues it on a daily basis; identifies unsafe behaviors and conditions and intervenes to mitigate incidents
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience Preferred:
· 2+ years of material handling experience
· 1+ years of warehouse experience
· Forklift Certification
· Basic knowledge of transactions within ERP systems (SAP), preferred
· Experience working with a scanning gun
Other (knowledge, skills and abilities):
· Sound knowledge of fundamental material handling processes as applicable including: customer order fulfillment activities & shipping, packaging, receiving, inventory control and disposition, supply documentation, data and transactional management, material distribution and/or delivery, warehouse or stockroom control techniques, and cycle or physical counting.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Must be able to manage and execute multiple activities to support the manufacturing activity.
· A positive attitude, motivated, self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
· Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment.
· Demonstrates sound judgment when following through with priorities.
· Understands the plans for meeting the business strategy and objectives, and how it relates to daily activities.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed.
· Willing to work in a warehouse environment that can be hot, cold, dirty, encompassing all levels.
· Ability to work in a potentially physically strenuous environment.
· Ability to perform heavy lifting; capable of lifting 50 pounds repeatedly with proper ergonomic form; will follow Company safety and ergonomic guide to avoid injury.

Pay: $23/Hour
