We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team for four to six months to cover a staff members maternity leave. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient management, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
• Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Implement aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
• Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays, while ensuring the safety of patients.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical environment.
• Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
• Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
