Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role is essential in promoting oral health and educating patients on effective hygiene practices while ensuring a comfortable experience during their visits.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture high-quality radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental systems such as Open Dental ensuring all medical terminology and coding are correctly applied.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Work with pediatric patients to create a positive experience and promote good oral health habits from an early age.

Qualifications

• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures.
• Experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Open Dental, is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients of all ages.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
