MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.

Skills: Ability to perform general maintenance work. Ability to work in extreme heat. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to safely operate City equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions: Perform general maintenance work to include mowing, golf course set up, trash and restroom clean up, weed eating, and flowerbed maintenance. Other duties and maintenance responsibilities will depend on the weather.
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position may include any or all of the following: Much of the work is performed outdoors in inclement weather and during all seasons. Some work is performed in confined areas, on slick and wet surfaces. Employees are exposed to vibrations, loud continuous noise, offensive smells, dust, dirt and water. Exposed to injury from moving equipment, insect bites, poisonous plants, flying objects, slippery surfaces, and hazardous materials. Must have strength to pull, lift, and push 50 pound objects on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds (i.e. a bag of cement) on an infrequent basis; flexibility to bend, twist, and reach; mobility to climb, crawl, and walk; dexterity to operate machinery and tools on uneven surfaces, etc.; and stamina to exert self throughout the day in all weather conditions.
