Job Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and committed Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team per diem at a skilled nursing facility in Chula Vista, CA. In this role, you will deliver vital care and support to patients within a nursing home environment. This position offers a fulfilling chance to influence the lives of others positively. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide care and tend to the physical needs of the patients according to the patient care plan
  • Perform and document rounds of patient receiving care and report changes in patient condition to the Nurse
  • Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing
  • Complete all required documentation of patient care, provide written and/or oral reports
  • Clean, maintain, and check equipment
  • Document care provided in accordance with Minimum Dataset (MDS) standards
  • Escort residents to appointments as need via available CalVet bus transportation or by walking to appointments that are within the facility or nearby

Qualifications

  • Current Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the State of California in order to perform services in the State of California
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution
  • Clinical competencies must be current and provided to the Home prior to the staff being assigned
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with an electronic medical records system
