Carmel Youth Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Program Teacher to join our team! If you have experience working with children, strong classroom management skills, and a desire to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's social-emotional development.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
• Implement curriculum that aligns with learning frameworks and child development principles.
• Supervise indoor/outdoor activities, including field trips.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 12+ units in Child Development, ECE, or a related field (AA/BA preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in a child care or teaching environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills.
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
• Ability to meet California state requirements, including Live Scan, TB test, and Mandated Reporter training.
• Bilingual/multilingual skills a plus!
