We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our Wiggles and Wags team. Must have a passion for animal care and their welfare, ensuring that all fur babies in our facility receive the highest level of attention and care. This role involves working closely with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment. Must have a flexible schedule and must be able to work weekends and holidays. Experience is a plus but not required. Must have good work ethic and be dependable.

Duties

• Ensure the overall safety and comfort of the animals in our care
• Monitor animal behavior and well-being and report any concerns to management
• Feed and water according to schedule
• Administer any medications and/or vaccinations as directed
• Transport animals to and from suites and play yard
• Clean and disinfect suites and play yard
• Keep all toys and bedding and laundry maintained
• Engage with the dogs to build trust and lasting bonds
• Communicating with management providing updates and information, that may need to be relayed to customers

• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and management
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for long periods
• Ability to listen and follow instructions
• Work independently or as a team player
• Ability to read and write English
• Previous experience working in a kennel environment is beneficial but not necessary.
• Attention to detail to ensure all dogs receive the correct food, medication, and care and to maintain cleanliness and order within the kennel
