Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment while maintaining kitchen standards, cleanliness, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items following restaurant recipes and quality standards.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during service.
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and kitchen area.
Follow proper food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen supervisor or chef.
Assist with food prep, inventory, and kitchen maintenance as needed.
Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a high-paced restaurant preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
