Bougie Gougies makes an appetizer that ships as frozen dough (think frozen cookie dough) direct to consumer and wholesale nationwide.
 

We are looking to add a pastry production worker to our team. Coverage is needed 2 days per week. This is a set schedule on Tuesday and Wednesdays during the day. We work out of a shared commercial kitchen in Seattle, WA.
 

This is ideal for an individual with experience in pastries. The individual must have background in following a set recipe instructions with care and attention to detail. The position works well for pastry school students and also great for recent graduates.
 

Responsibilities are the following:
 

  • Prepping ingredients
     
  • Cooking a recipe and following it exactly every time
     
  • Scooping the dough and freezing it
     
  • Packaging dough into its product packaging
     
  • Clean as you go and keep a clean and organized work station at all times
     
  • Ensuring quality control of ingredients and making sure that there is no spoilage
     
  • Communicating with operations lead about ingredient inventory and when ingredients, tools, and equipment need to be ordered
     
  • Treat all others respectfully and with kindness
     

Requirements:
 

  • Up to date Washington Food Handlers Card
     
  • Fluent in English
     
  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED
     
  • Some experience making pastry dough or willing to learn quickly
     
  • Ability to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
     
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
     
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
     
  • Ability to stand for long hours
