Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Review financial records, such as income statements and previous tax returns, to determine tax liabilities.
• Advise clients on tax strategies and deductions to maximize refunds or minimize liabilities.
• Stay up to date on federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax-related questions and concerns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of tax preparation software (e.g., Proconnect, ProSeries, Drake, or similar).
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• CPA or EA certification (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
