Position: Children's Division Faculty and Enrichment Coordinator

Organization: Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB)

Location: Carlisle, PA

Reports to: Director of the Children's and Primary Divisions

Overview: CPYB, a world-renowned ballet school, seeks a passionate and experienced Children's Division Faculty and Enrichment Coordinator to join our team. This role is perfect for a dedicated educator with a deep love for teaching children ages three through six. The successful candidate will balance teaching and administrative responsibilities to nurture our youngest students' early artistic experiences both at CPYB and through community enrichment programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Instruct approximately four Creative Movement classes, three Tap classes, and three Pre-Ballet classes per week for enrolled CPYB students.
• Lead Children’s Division classes for children ages 3-6 at CPYB's enrichment partner locations, including private schools and daycare centers, introducing them to the world of ballet.
• Teach and coordinate Children’s Division summer programs including camps, workshops and other offerings
• Foster an engaging, nurturing, and positive learning environment for young dancers.

Administrative Support:

• Provide logistical and administrative assistance for Children's Division activities.
• Coordinate key events such as:
• Holiday events for families
• Rehearsals and parent watch weeks
• Children’s Division showings and audience engagement events
• Communicate effectively with enrolled families, offering regular updates and support for their child's progress and class-related logistics.
• Ensure the smooth coordination of all Children's Division activities, including scheduling and event planning.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience teaching ballet, creative movement, and tap to children ages 3-6.
• Dedicated passion of teaching strictly this age group is a requirement
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire young students and their families.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating events and activities for children's programs is a plus.

Hours & Compensation: This is a full-time position. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
