Provide support services to camp for dishwashing, janitorial tasks, trash disposal, light grounds work, light maintenance, stocking, activity set up/tear down.
Lead by example acting as a positive role model of the OLVC values of Respect, Trust, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, and Accountability and Camp Turner’s of Hospitality, Stewardship, Social Justice, Personal Growth, and Recreation.
Proper execution, reporting and communication of CT and OLVC emergency procedures, incident and accident reporting, and safety guidelines.
Ability to adequately discharge assigned duties according to policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and requirements set forth by CT, OLVC, American Camp Association (ACA), New York State (NYS), and local Department of Health (DOH) pertaining to overnight operation of children’s camps.
Attend, participate and successfully complete all summer camp training sessions and CT staff meetings as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 17 years of age required or 16 years old with successful completion in good standing of Counselor In Training (CIT) program.
Must be willing to live on site for the summer season with room and board provided.
Benefits:
Pay rate: $420-$510/week (based on experience and skills) + room and board.
Full week of paid training, including portable certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, Epi-pen and more.
