Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas for signs of disease or decay
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care
- Take dental x-rays as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Curve)
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop and implement treatment plans
