Seeking personal caregiver(s) for female with Cerebral Palsy​​October 6, 2024

Hours:  ​Weekends​ Saturdays 10a – 10p &​Sundays 10a – 6p (one OR two individuals)

Pay:  $17/hr

My name is Sydney and I am 36 years old.  I use a power wheelchair and live at home with my mom in Central Austin.  I currently work part-time from home and need assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities include:  Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting; administer medications as prescribed; assist with meal preparation and serving meals; assist with transfers; provide companionship and engage in activities; perform light housekeeping related to the care environment.  Qualifications:  Valid driver’s license; pass a background check; become CPR certified (there are online courses available); good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with my family and healthcare team; reliable, trustworthy, and punctual; previous caregiver experience is helpful but not required.  I am looking for someone who is patient, has a good sense of humor, and possesses a strong sense of empathy with a positive attitude.  I have a cat (Pip) so animal lovers are a plus!
