Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including children and geriatrics, in various settings such as acute care facilities, nursing homes, and during critical care transport. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and providing high-quality nursing care.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify health issues and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall health status, documenting any changes.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as gastric lavage when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems like Cerner.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients in various settings, including acute care environments and nursing homes.
  • Engage in critical care transport when required, ensuring safe transfer of patients.

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in acute care settings preferred; experience with children and geriatrics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with critical care transport protocols is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner.
  • Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
