Job Description Material Handler:

• The role of the Material Handler is to ensure the correct receipt, storage and delivery and issuing of all materials into the facility.  The Material Handler is also responsible for cycle counting and physical inventory activities.

Responsibilities:

• Intercompany deliveries
• Ensure all receipts are accurate to the BOL
• Ensure that quality is being upheld by our vendors
• Issue all raw materials to production lines in a neat and timely manner
• Return all end of job raw materials to their specified location
• Communicate issues to supervisors and managers
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Weekly cycle counts
• Rotating of all raw materials to ensure FIFO is being used
• Remove all empty raw material boxes from the pack floor to maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Unload all incoming trucks and deliver all receipts to designated areas
• Load all outgoing trucks
• Ensure all paperwork on outbound pallets is visible and correct
• Ensure BOL for outbound shipment is correct 
• Complete daily forklift logs
• Maintain forklift – address/report any issues
• Complete daily shipping and receiving logs
• Move all finished product off the pack floor 
• Keep all finished product organized 
• Wrap pallets neatly with all appropriate paperwork attached
• Assist other warehouse employees as needed
• Deliveries to local customers
• Other tasks will be given as needs arise

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills with employees, manager, supervisors and coworkers in a team environment
• Must be detail oriented, organized and quality conscious
• Excellent math skills
• Must be safety conscious
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable MVR
• Fork lift certified in sit down and stand up fork lifts
• Ability to use a pallet jack
• Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
