Behavior Technician

To be successful in this role, you will display a compassionate nature, empathy, and discretion in your work. You should have excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to develop and maintain relationships with clients, parents, supervisors, and colleagues. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior management strategies as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collecting and recording data on patient behavior.
  • Collaborating, communicating, and assisting with treatment programs and family guidance. 
  • Providing a safe and supportive environment for clients and family.
  • Carrying out clinical assessments and other administrative duties.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Attending training to acquire further knowledge including successful completion of the Registered Behavior Technician training course and passing the RBT exam.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience/Requirements:

  • Experience working with children
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Computer and technology skills
