Key Responsibilities
1. Foreclosure Management:
- Monitor and manage past-due and standard foreclosure cases.
- Ensure compliance with investor guidelines and state timelines for foreclosure processes.
- Work with in-house and outside counsel, senior management, and investors to resolve foreclosure issues.
2. Compliance and Documentation:
- Execute and manage financial foreclosure documents per federal compliance standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of actions, correspondence, and delay explanations.
- Ensure accounts are accurate and up-to-date in databases.
3. Title and Collateral Review:
- Coordinate requests for collateral documents.
- Verify clear and marketable title throughout the foreclosure process.
- Address title and equity analysis for high-balance and low-value properties.
4. Sales and Litigation:
- Prepare bidding instructions for foreclosure sales in line with investor guidelines.
- Work closely with counsel on litigation and contested foreclosure matters.
- Endorse and report foreclosure sale results within 24 hours of sale.
- Attend court mandated mediations, testify at court proceedings, including depositions.
5. Administrative and Analytical Tasks:
- Review foreclosure-related expenses for investor compliance.
- Perform periodic data analysis and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with special projects and cross-departmental loan transfers.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 0-2 years in servicing or legal foreclosure roles preferred (Paralegal/Legal Assistant experience is a plus).
- Education: College degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with CFPB, RESPA, FDCPA, federal and state laws related to foreclosure, and collateral documents.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledge of Black Knight/LPS Desktop.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude.
