COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

 

• On-Call Pay:   $50 per day for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ($150 total for the weekend, even if not called in). 
• Pay:  $20–$22/hour (based on experience) for any call-in shifts worked, in addition to the on-call pay.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Weekend On-Call Caregiver to provide high-quality care and support to clients within a 30-mile radius of Brookings, SD. This role requires availability from Friday at 4:00 PM to Sunday at 10:00 PM, offering flexibility and a competitive pay structure. Caregivers will be compensated for on-call availability and additional pay for any hours worked during call-in shifts. This individual must be dependable and committed to providing excellent care when called upon

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be available to respond to call-ins promptly during the on-call timeframe (Friday 4:00 PM to Sunday 10:00 PM).
• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist clients with mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship.
• Perform light housekeeping and ensure client safety.
• Document and communicate any changes in client condition to the care team.
• Adhere to company policies, including safe driving and timely responses.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D certificate preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of caregiving experience or relevant certifications (CNA, HHA, HCA, PCA preferred but not required).
• Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
