Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar is looking for a Sous chef with a background and experience in high volume, full service restaurants; leadership skills in and around the kitchen; and able to assist the Executive Chef. Benefits, PTO, 401k, Dining Discounts!

As the Sous Chef at Rocco's Tacos Naples, you will be a key player in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and managing inventory control. With premium skills in team management, leadership, and banquet experience, you will lead a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your relevant skill in bartending will add versatility to your role, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. Salary $55,000+

Sous chef responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared according to recipe, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
  • Conduct inventory of all ingredients and supplies for the kitchen.
  • Assist the Executive Chef with all required paperwork, prep lists, reports and schedules
  • Regulate the control of food and labor cost.
  • Work directly with management in planning and coordinating special events, when they occur.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in high volume, full service restaurants.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and protocols.
  • Strong leadership within both the kitchen and restaurant environments.
  • Excellent communication skills between all levels of the operation
  • Able to work 11-12 hour shifts
  • Strong foundation in inventory management, food preparation, and kitchen management
  • Demonstrated ability in food service management and catering
  • Proficiency in food safety practices and inventory control
  • Experience in supervising and leading teams in a restaurant setting
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising and managing teams
  • Proven track record in restaurant management and food service, including inventory control and food safety
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers
  • Prior experience in overseeing inventory management and maintaining food service standards
