The intern will learn about sustainable living: farming, eco-building, off-grid power systems, etc.  You must have good communication skills,  physical ability to carry out work, and interest in learning and applying yourself to learn new skills.  This could be part-time.  The farm is located in a small valley in the Nantahala Mountains of Western NC.  There is a lot of wildlife (not people) and opportunities to explore the area.
