Both part-time and full-time summer positions lasting 10 weeks.

Work Dates: June 9 – August 15, Monday – Friday

Work Hours: Approximately 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Company Description: Camp Kinneret Summer Day Camp is entering its 71st summer providing children ages 4 – 14 with a classic outdoor summer day camp experience. Our child-centered program strives to build a supportive community that nurtures positive growth and development by building relationships through shared experiences at camp.

Positions Available: We have a variety of positions available, including Counselors for camp groups, Lifeguards/Swim Instructors, and activity specialists for Animal Care, Nature & Ecology, Wilderness Play, Farming & Gardening, Arts & Crafts, Performing Arts, High Ropes Challenge Courses, and Rock Climbing.

Working with young children in a camp environment is an ideal starting point for students hoping to pursue people-oriented or education-based professions. The skills that camp builds (leadership, teamwork, problem solving, community building, and so on) are valued and valuable in the post-grad workplace

Position Qualifications: College-aged or older. Certain positions may require specific certifications. Training may be available through camp.

Transportation: Staff ride the bus to camp each day with their campers. Buses leave from North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, West Hills, Agoura, Westlake, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley, and Newbury Park. If your home is within 30 minutes of any of these locations, you can easily be a part of our program this summer. 

Salary: Salaries vary based on position and previous experience. The range for a first-year staff person is approximately $6,500 – $7,000 for a 10-week summer.
