The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide advanced nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. The NP will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, critical thinking, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient histories.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.

Treatment and Management:

  • Develop, implement, and manage patient treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care with other members of the healthcare team, including referrals to specialists.
  • Participate in case management and discharge planning activities.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in nursing and healthcare.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in continuous professional development through education, research, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Mentor and educate nursing staff and students.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area (e.g., Family, Adult-Gerontology, Pediatrics).

Licensure:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of practice.

Experience:

  • Minimum of [5] years of clinical nursing experience, with at least [5] years as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
  • Experience in Telemedicine is highly desirable.

Skills:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, standing or walking for extended periods, and manual dexterity for clinical tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may involve exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and other occupational risks.
  • Requires flexibility in work hours, including potential for evening, weekend, and on-call shifts.
