We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during procedures, ensure the comfort of patients, and maintain a clean and efficient workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

• Prepare patients for dental procedures by explaining treatments and making them comfortable.
• Assist patients with getting in and out of the dental chair.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
• Provide post-procedure instructions and support.

Chairside Assistance:

• Work alongside the dentist during examinations and treatments by handing instruments, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring the sterile field.
• Ensure the dentist has the necessary tools and equipment during procedures.
• Use suction devices and assist with the placement of dental materials (fillings, crowns, etc.).

Equipment and Sterilization:

• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, ensuring a safe, sterile environment.
• Set up and break down treatment rooms after each procedure.
• Patient Education:
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventative practices.
• Provide advice on dietary and lifestyle choices related to oral health.

Office Hours: Monday & Wednesday 8:30am-5:00pm, Tuesday & Thursday 12:00pm-6:00pm average of 28 hrs. per week
