WHY BE A SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR?

-Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young lives while enjoying the great outdoors? We're seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors! As a Camp Counselor, you'll play a pivotal role in creating unforgettable experiences for children and helping them grow through a variety of fun and educational activities

- Develop and practice valuable resume building and life skills such as communication, collaboration/team work, creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, public speaking, decision-making, leadership, confidence, productivity, flexibility, conflict resolution, strong organizational skills.

DESCRITPTION:

- Provide leadership to a group of children in a camp setting. You will be with another counselor following a daily schedule.

- Teach games, sports, and crafts to a group of children.

- Encourage participation with enthusiasm and positive communication.

- Work with other counselors to implement activities and games for groups of children.

- Serve as a positive role model for campers and other staff.

- Work with other staff members to solve problems and effectively communicate with leadership and parents.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- Someone who is an excellent role model, energetic, enthusiastic, and has a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-16+ or older

-Strong communication skills

-Passion for working with children

-Ability to provide clearances and work permit (if under 18).

-CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.

JOB LOCATION (subject to change due to school availability) :

-Camp Adventure @ Northampton Parks and Recreation Center

-Camp Expedition @ Churchville Elementary School

-Camp Explore @ Rolling Hills Elementary School

-Camp Quest @Welch Elementary School

START DATE :

- Regular Camp Season is June 30- August 15th. NO CAMP JULY 4

-Camp Adventure June 23-August 15th.NO CAMP JULY 4

TIME & DAYS NEEDED:

- Monday – Friday

-8 hour shift between, 7:30-6:00pm at Camp Adventure and Camp Quest.

-Camp Explore 9:00-12:45pm

-Camp Expedition 8:15-3:45pm

PAY RATE:

- Hourly rate depends on certifications, education level.
