Required Experience and Strengths 

 

Cooperative team player. 

Proactive and has good problem-solving skills. 

Able to manage audiovisual (AV) productions and supervise the rental of church facilities. 

Proficient in setting up and using equipment to produce online streaming and recording. Includes but is not limited to: Wirecast, YouTube, Vimeo, and 4K video camera operation. Also includes microphones, lighting equipment, and sound mixers. 

Proficient in graphic communication design. 

Proficient in written communication. Languages in addition to English are a plus.

About the Job 

 

Direct Supervisor: Church Administrator 

Status: Nonexempt, hourly staff 

Pay rate: $35/hour 

Hour range per week: 4–10 

Typical work schedule: Sunday mornings 9 AM–1 PM and various evenings and weekends, as scheduled. 

 

Primary Duties 

 

Produce SFBC’s worship and special livestream events. When the Sanctuary and other church-owned spaces are rented by outside organizations, help with rental by providing supervision, production management, and technical support. 

 

Organizational Relationships 

 

The Worship Technician and Facilities Rental Supervisor reports to the Church Administrator.  

 

Tasks and Responsibilities 

 

Set up and run audiovisual (AV) recording equipment for worship and live-stream events (includes but is not limited to innovative worship and adult education forums). Manage SFBC’s livestream presence and reach on social media. 

Operate cameras, basic lighting, and live sound for worship events. 

Work with the Minister of Music to set up onstage sound needs, such as microphones, microphone stands, music stands, and stage monitors. 

Create and produce digital material for livestream events as needed. Includes but is not limited to static images, videos, illustrations, infographics, text scrolls, and hymn lyrics. 

Produce, shoot, and edit AV content for SFBC social media platforms as needed. 

Store and distribute recorded AV files; and post approved content on social media platforms. 

Facilitate remote meetings for church events and programs if needed (for example, lecture events, forum discussions, and Bible study). 

Maintain all equipment and supervise its repair or replacement, together with the Church Administrator. 

Manage concert and lecture rentals as assigned: provide AV access and support; monitor building security; help with AV setup and with returning equipment to its usual storage area and default settings. 

 

Please note: Full vaccination from COVID-19 and willingness to wear a mask while on the Church site are required for employment. (Masks are not currently required.)
