We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in both inpatient and clinic settings, focusing on patient assessment, ventilatory support, and medication administration. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal respiratory function for patients, particularly in a Level II Trauma Center environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory conditions and needs.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Operate and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
  • Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans for patients, including geriatrics.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatment options.
  • Perform basic life support as necessary during emergencies or critical situations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of human physiology, particularly related to respiratory function.
  • Experience working in both inpatient hospital settings and outpatient clinics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ventilatory support systems and their operation is essential.
  • Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond effectively to changes in patient status.
  • Experience with geriatric populations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with compassion and professionalism.

WEEKLY PAY!!!!! 

Hourly Payrate: $43.00 

PRN opportunity 12 hour shifts
