We are expanding our very fun group of eclectic tutors and are looking for people who love children of all ages, want to build long term relationships with them, and are able to work well with in a 1:1 setting to help them master the skills they need to thrive academically.
Our ideal candidate is a professional tutor who can provide 25-32 visits a week, with some flexibility in scheduling. Students are primarily available between the hours 1pm-8pm M, 3pm-8pm T-F or Sat/Sundays from 9-6pm. But we will consider part time availability for the right candidate. Competency with Executive Function skills, ADHD, ASD or Learning Disabilities is a bonus.
We want to hire for the follow tutors:
Middle School Math,Science, Reading, Writing, and Organization skills for Grades 5-9
High School Math, Science, Writing compositions and Organization Skills for Grades 9-12
Reading and Writing Specialist trained or willing to be trained in structured literacy interventions
Part Time (5-10 hours/week) World Language Tutors for Spanish and French willing to create and grow weekly conversation classes for all ages.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Receiving and responding to new inquiries for tutoring services, Welcoming clients to the office/online session, Scheduling your clients, Tutoring, Consistently and informally assessing progress and adjusting tutoring plans as needed, informing families if planning needs for tutoring exceed 5 minutes per 55 minute session and gaining their permission to invoice them for additional planning time for their child, keeping tutoring areas clean and organized, Communicating regarding canceled appointments, Maintaining a weekly log of hours worked/clients seen, confirming future appointments, corresponding with relevant parties for the care of your clients, Participating as a member of a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team, participating in PR and marketing activities, and to do things that improve the company.
