Sunrise Counseling and Wellness is changing the way therapy is done by allowing clients in recovery to feel whole, assisting with breaking down barriers towards treatment and changes in their recovery. Sunrise Counseling and Wellness is a treatment center in Colorado Springs, CO and there is a new location opening in Canon City, CO. We serve clients who suffer from mental health and substance use disorders. We are a person centered practice that places our clients at the heart of our treatment center, which allows us to provide successful support to clients throughout their engagement in treatment. Our modalities are ever changing and adoptable to assist in the most up to date practices to encourage healthy recovery processes. Sunrise Counseling and Wellness is a safe haven for clients who are experiencing marginalization in multiple areas of their lives. We offer a trauma focused approach to treatment and offer the ability for the clients to feel comfortable in our treatment center.
If you are a clinician who is interested in making a difference in your clients’ lives and has a drive and dedication to work with clients in the recovery process, this position is for you. We are seeking a clinician (LCSW, LSW, LAC, LPC, LPCC, LMFT, CAS) who has a passion for inciting hope in clients and utilizing evidenced based practices to aide in the recovery process.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Establish and maintain a positive, trusting rapport with clients to provide individual and group therapy services to aide in clients’ recovery process through the use of evidenced based practices
-Diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders; knowledge of DSM 5 and ASAM standards of care required
-Utilizes professional communication skills to assist in participation with a multidisciplinary team
-Possesses a non-judgmental attitude and compassion to work with the population
-Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances; adjust treatment recommendations and planning as clinically appropriate
-Works as a part of a multidisciplinary team to advocate for client needs/treatment goals.
-Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to manage presenting symptomology
-Works easily as a team player as part of a clinical team within the agency.
-Maintains a caseload and manages all caseload responsibilities to assist in case management.
Minimal Qualifications
Must possesses a master’s degree or be eligible to be licensed as a Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS). Must meet qualifications of licensure through the state of Colorado DORA and able to show proof of licensure. Must be able to pass random urine screenings and complete a background check. Must maintain ability for licensure throughout the duration of employment.
