St. Paul Lutheran Church and School has had a growing summer camp for over 5 years now. We want to create a safe, fun and engaging learning environment for children while also getting the chance to teach God's love and word.
**Overview:**
Camp Tribe Leaders are responsible for providing leadership and guidance for a group of campers that ensures St. Paul’s Christian values. Camp Tribe Leaders create positive, nurturing relationships with students, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Under the direction of the Summer Camp Director, Camp Tribe Leaders will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development and implementation of program activities.
**Responsibilities:**
- · Leading and supporting campers as they participate in age-appropriate activities. This entails getting them to their stations at the allotted time slots. So you will need to time manage for clean-up and transitions.
· Monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents.
· Provide an enjoyable experience for each camper. Make sure everyone feels part of the group.
· Participate in the general planning of the camp program.
· Assist Lead teachers in their planned activities during designated time slots.
· Set a good example in promptness, manners, language, appearance and health.
· Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment.
· Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to parents and camp staff. This should be reported to Director.
· Always keep safety of campers in mind. Campers are never to be left unattended (unless in the bathroom). If need a bathroom break, call the director.
· Memorizing all emergency procedures and enforcing camp rules.
· Participating in staff meetings.
· Wearing the appropriate uniform each day.
**Required Experience**
- Must have been in a childcare facility or school for at least one year.
