The Jewish Food Society is a non-profit organization that works to preserve and celebrate Jewish culinary heritage from around the world in order to increase awareness and deepen connections to Jewish life.

JFS is seeking a passionate Social Media and Marketing Manager to join the team in-person at our New York City office. This full-time position will be responsible for expanding our social media presence across several platforms and for supporting and amplifying JFS’s mission and its range of content including our digital archive, online shop, podcast, cookbook, and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Create, plan and manage JFS’s social media content calendar in accordance with the
editorial calendar, the Jewish holidays and current events.
● Develop and implement dynamic social media strategies across various platforms.
● Increase traffic to and engagement with JFS’s digital archive and social media channels.
● Analyze social media metrics and generate regular reports
● Refine and adjust social media content based on data analysis
● Manage day-to-day social media activity, including writing brand-aligned copy and
posting on all platforms (IG, FB, TikTok and LinkedIn).
● Monitor social media channels and actively engage with JFS’s community across all
social media platforms.
● Generate and maintain relationships with influencers and partners for creative content
collaborations.
● Produce engaging short-form social media videos that amplify and celebrate JFS’s
content and mission.
● Share in real-time moments from JFS’s test kitchen, photo shoots, events and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
● A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or related field.
● 5+ years experience in marketing and/or social media management.
● A phenomenal visual storyteller with excellent writing and communication skills
● A deep understanding and experience of short-form video formats and trends.
● Following and familiar with food industry trends.
● Proficiency with Canva, InDesign or similar.
● Relevant experience in a culinary and/or cultural organization.
● Excellent team player and creative thinker with meticulous attention to detail.
● A passion for Jewish Food Society’s mission.

COMPENSATION
A full-time position with an annual salary of 75-85K, commensurate with experience. Full benefits package and delicious global Jewish food!
