<p>Columbia Gorge Surgery Center (CGSC) is seeking a certified surgical technologist for the position of Per Diem Surgical Technologist</p><p>CGSC is the only Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in the Columbia Gorge area, and we serve patients from all over North-central Oregon. Since our opening in 2010, we have performed over 10,000 surgical procedures in the areas of orthopedics and ophthalmology. We are licensed by the State of Oregon, certified by Medicare, and accredited by AAAHC. Our vision is to be the #1 choice for same-day surgery in the Columbia Gorge!</p><p>Responsibilities:<br>- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.<br>- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies.<br>- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure by adhering to aseptic technique.<br>- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other team members during the procedure.<br>- Monitor the patient's vital signs and assist with positioning and draping.<br>- Collect and analyze data related to the patient's condition before, during, and after surgery.<br>- Provide patient care, including prepping and positioning patients for surgery.<br>- Assist with wound closure and apply dressings as directed by the surgeon.</p><p>Experience:<br>- Proficient in basic life support (BLS) techniques.<br>- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.<br>- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical record systems is preferred.</p><p>Skills:<br>- Excellent understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols.<br>- Ability to accurately assess vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.<br>- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.<br>- Effective communication skills to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.<br>- Proficient in data collection and analysis to support quality improvement initiatives.</p><p>We offer competitive compensation for our Surgical Technicians.
