Kennel Assistant

We are looking for that special someone that loves animals, enjoys learning and wants to get their foot in the door for a career in veterinary medicine!

This would be a great position for someone with afternoon availability or in school. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-General hospital cleaning duties (i.e. laundry, vacuuming and mopping building at end of day)

-Poop scooping

-Picking up litter outdoors

-Cleaning exam rooms, kennels and preparing for incoming patients

-Refill and restock exam rooms and treatment area with appropriate medical supplies

-Cleaning surgical instruments and preparing surgical packs for sterilization

-Feed animals as instructed

-Walk animals as instructed

-Assist in restraining pets in a manner that allows procedures to be done with minimal stress to patients and ensures the safety of patients and people

Qualifications

-Must be 16 years of age or older

-Must have animal handling skills

-Excellent communication skills

-Possess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environment

-Must have transportation

-Be able to work on their feet and lift 40lbs.

Salary and benefits DOE 

Hours are Part-Time with possible full-time in the future.  Monday,Tuesday,Thursday,and Friday Start time is negotiable to 6:00pm. We are located in Marysville with easy I-5 access.
