<p><strong>employer-matched</strong></p><p>NW Dance Project seeks to immediately fill our Education and Outreach Coordinator position. This is a full-time, salaried, fully benefitted (100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance + employer-matched 401k + PTO) position supported by and supporting multiple experienced team members. Some weekend and/or evening work required.</p><p><strong>Job duties, activities, and responsibilities include (but not limited to):</strong></p><p>Develop, refine, schedule, and coordinate multifaceted adult and youth dance education and training programming<br>Interface with Portland-area schools and youth service providers to develop, coordinate, and facilitate dance outreach and “pull-in” classes, programs, and activities<br>Secure, train, and supervise dance instructors<br>Secure and schedule ballet class accompanists<br>Schedule and coordinate annual audition tour schedules<br>Liaison with Portland Community College’s Continuing Education partner programs<br>Plan, coordinate, develop, and manage class marketing and social media initiatives<br>Develop and maintain mastery of various student, patron, and other databases and functional platforms<br>Assist in supervising front desk staff and perform general administrative duties<br>Support special activities and events with entire NW Dance Project team</p><p><strong>Requirements / Desired Attributes and Abilities:</strong></p><p>Bachelor’s degree or beyond (or work experience equivalent)<br>Ample and robust dance training, participation, and instruction history<br>2-3 years administrative experience, preferably in non-profit and/or arts sector<br>Excellent written and oral communication skills<br>Excellent customer service skills<br>Highly organized and resourceful<br>Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced, resource-scarce environment<br>Conflict negotiation and resolution skills<br>Ability to be both self-directed and to work in differently-sized teams<br>Detail-oriented and innovative problem-solver<br>Sense of humor and respectful nature</p><p><strong>NW Dance Project encourages and values diversity along all lines and does not discriminate in any way.</strong></p><p>This is an immediate opening – applications will be considered in order of submission. <br>To apply, please e-mail your rèsumè, a letter of introduction and interest, indication of availability, and at least two professional business writing samples to ------------ (subject line: Education and Outreach Coordinator position application / attn: NW Dance Project).</p>
