Business Development Representative

 

Silver Spear Ventures acquires companies and also provides consulting services focusing on aiding small businesses in enhancing all aspects of their business - from sales and marketing, to operations, finances, leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and more.  

 

This position will consist of daily outreach to business owners, discovering their needs, and communicating our value. Compensation for this role is performance based. There will be an onboarding and ramp up period, typically encompassing 30-45 days depending on your ability. Once effective in your tasks, the estimated compensation range will be $2000-10,000/mon depending on your work ethic and effectiveness. This is a “work from home” type position that would also entail visiting companies to speak with their owners in person.

 

In this role, the company provides you lead lists to connect with and determine if there is a workable situation with the business owner. We also provide training, scripts, coaching, guidance and other items to ensure your success. Tools provided by the company will be a VOIP phone number, CRM, necessary contracts, checklists, and other items you will need. You will need to provide your own computer, cell phone, and car.  

 

The type of person that will be the best fit for this role and with our company is someone that does not require a lot of oversight. Someone who is organized, reliable, trustworthy, and treats people with respect. A positive attitude and the resiliency to pursue a goal in the face of adversity and “no’s” is imperative. 

 

Skills that will aid in your success are: sales experience and training, negotiation skills and training, highly developed emotional intelligence, efficient use of technology, and excellent time management. 

 

Your main activities will be taking and making calls with business owners. You need to be good at conversing with people, building rapport, and identifying what their wants are. The focus of most conversations is identifying what their problem is, and if it is a fit with the solutions we can provide. If it is a fit, then holding the business owner’s hand through the process of getting under contract and then getting through closing. 

 

We are seeking motivated individuals that have a basic understanding of business, sales experience, and a strong desire to learn. We will provide the resources, systems, tools, and training to contact and engage with business owners in order to discover where we can best provide value for them.
