Radiology Technician Job Description

North American Medical Associates is seeking a full-time Radiology Technician

  • Appropriately identifies and evaluates patients for imaging studies and procedures.
  • Efficient with c-arm manipulation and producing high quality radiographic images.
  • Take Physician orders/requisition.  Performs and completes imaging studies that comply with quality requirements.
  • Provides appropriate care to all patients.
  • Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are taken.
  • Keep supplies current and replenished to provide immediate availability during procedures.
  • Prepares room, equipment and supplies for exam.
  • Promote teamwork by demonstrating willingness to assist others in meeting the needs of all individuals and collaborate effectively with the team and other departments throughout the organization.
  • Complies with radiation guidelines and safety standard for self, patient, and other associates.
  • Assist with general patient care when needed.
  • Performs QA and keeping record in logbooks up to date.
  • Prepares patient for procedure by positioning and sterilizing site.
  • Performs tasks assigned by Manager.
  • Travel will be required between sites as needed for staffing and training purposes.

Requirements

Graduate of AMA approved school of radiology, ARRT Certification, must have state license if working in NJ.

Experience with c-arm preferred.
