The Gibsonville Public Library is seeking someone to help us serve our growing, diverse
community. Our library is dedicated to finding new and innovative paths toward our vision of
“Growing Together” in Gibsonville, which means we need people who are passionate about engaging
and working with all members of our community.
The ideal candidate for this position wants to be an active part of an organization that affects positive
change in our community, will help support a public space that is welcoming to diverse populations,
and is proficient with computers and technology.
The person in this role will plan, organize and manage the library’s community programs and
publicity, as well as provide high-quality customer service to all library visitors by assisting with
information requests, technology questions, library materials and programs, and account
maintenance. They will also act as a community ambassador for the library by participating in
community events and activities that further the library’s mission of connecting people to quality
information, opportunities, the world, and each other to foster community, discovery, and compassion.
This position is 40 hours per week with a prescribed schedule, developed by the Library Director,
during some evening and weekend hours.
Starting salary is $43,405 with the potential for a 5% increase after 6 months. The position includes
fully paid health, dental and vision insurance benefits.
