     Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) perform a variety of tasks to provide basic care and support to patients: 

 

Daily living activities: CNAs help patients with activities like eating, bathing, dressing, and grooming. 

 

Vital signs: CNAs monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure and heart rate. 

 

Medications: CNAs help patients take medications and ensure they are taking the correct dosages. 

 

Patient safety: CNAs ensure that patients are safe and that safety protocols are followed. They also follow patient privacy rules and apply professional ethics. 

 

Patient needs: CNAs ensure that patients' nutritional and hydration needs are met. They also prepare patients' rooms with the necessary items. 

 

Patient transfers: CNAs help patients who have low mobility move from their bed to a wheelchair and vice versa. 

 

Patient positioning: CNAs turn or adjust patients in bed to prevent bedsores. 

 

Communication: CNAs communicate patient concerns and questions to nurses. They also answer patient calls. 

 

Cleaning: CNAs clean and sanitize patient areas and medical supplies and equipment. 

 

Emergency situations: CNAs perform immediate and temporary interventions in emergency situations.
