OMAHA, NE (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES)- Jetsetters based in the suburban heart of Omaha seek a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT TRAVEL CHILD CAREGIVER to join their growing family and help care for their lively 22-month-old girl (age at the time of start) and newborn expected to arrive in August.

The family is on the move to explore the world! They jet-set for up to a month at a time several times throughout the year and seek a professional nanny who is up for the journey and adaptable to this travel lifestyle. They are looking for someone flexible who will accompany them on 3-4 night domestic trips, as well as extended international travel. Their slated travel schedule includes 3-4 nights in Dallas during the spring and fall (about 4 trips per year), visits to Canada in the summer for Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day Weekend (as well as 1-2 more times in the summer between those holidays), and vacationing in the Grand Cayman Islands during the winter (3-4 weeks in November-March with each visit a week or less in duration). They will set sail aboard their brand-new yacht to explore the Caribbean during the winter and the Mediterranean in the summer. In 2025, they plan to spend 4 weeks on the boat in January and again in March. Their lake house is 20 minutes from their home in Nebraska which they visit throughout the year and would love for their nanny to join them!

A dedicated newborn care specialist will care for the infant overnight for the first several months to get him on a schedule and set for success. They also have a daily housekeeper. The family’s trusted nanny, who has been with them since their eldest was an infant, will continue with the family and share duties with the new hire. Each nanny will rotate working 3/4 days per week for 10-12 hours per day (typically 7am-7pm), providing round-the-clock coverage. Both nannies will travel with the family providing opportunities to rest and enjoy exploring destinations on their own! A private bedroom will be provided while traveling. Must be a team player and collaboratively work in tandem with the fellow nanny and the parents. You will be responsible for driving the children while on the job. A family car will be provided. Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license.

The ideal candidate has a degree in elementary/early childhood education or a related field. Their eldest is cognitively advanced and was potty trained at 16 months, underscoring the importance of finding a nanny focused on their children’s education and development. Someone who will spend downtime (i.e. nap time) planning engaging sensory and developmental activities (putting together sensory bins, etc.)  tailored to the next stage of development.  The perfect candidate is knowledgeable in child development and can keep their children engaged, learning, and developmentally advanced. Someone who is highly active and up for excursions, adventures and exploration with toddlers and young kids, and someone who would be happy calling Omaha home for the foreseeable future.

Above all, the family prioritizes finding a candidate who loves and respects their children. They reciprocate that love and respect in return. They seek a self-starter who is intelligent, diligent, and takes initiative. Professionalism and poise are paramount, as you will represent the family across the globe. The family seeks someone who embodies politeness, education, and worldly experience. Flexibility is key to this role, encompassing weekend work and extended travel. However, the family is committed to ensuring their nannies avoid burnout by incorporating relief days into the schedule, facilitated by the presence of two dedicated caregivers.

Both parents are present in the home, with Mom staying at home and Dad working from home with flexibility. They engage in their children's daily routines without micromanaging, expecting their nanny to demonstrate high levels of autonomy. Viewing their nannies as valued colleagues, they seek a nanny who is excited about the role and dedicated to being an integral part of their family.

Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, vacation, relocation assistance and the potential for a partial health insurance stipend. Pay is ideally in the $30-35+/hour range but is flexible depending on experience. Start date is September 2024!
