Position: Customer Service/Dispatch
Purpose: To work closely with Customers in the management of their freight to ensure shipments are moved in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating and managing customer freight through the use of various transportation management systems (TMS).
• Scheduling of freight to picked up and delivered
• Providing shipping details to customers
• Negotiating rates and delivery times as required
• Handling customer inquiries
• Safely dispatch freight per Company parameters
• Tracking and tracing of customer freight. Monitor shipments as necessary
• Provide Proof of Delivery for all shipments
Responsible to negotiate rates with carriers within the parameters of the company.

Responsible for accurate input in the TMS system

• Providing documentation to drivers and carriers as required.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Freight dispatching experience is a plus
• Customer Service experience a must
• Understanding of freight transportation is necessary
• Proficient in online data entry. TMS experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Flexibility to work nights or weekends as needed.
