General Sales Manager
KAHI Radio in Auburn, a local FM and AM news talk station, has an immediate opening for a General Sales Manager. Media sales experience is required for this position. A base salary will cover required part-time office hours. Additional outside sales hours will be expected. In addition to base pay, a generous commission will be paid on all collections from your advertising sales.
The selected candidate will oversee a small part-time sales staff. A small active list of paying clients will be provided to start. The selected candidate will have the experience required to quickly grow this list.
Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to produce with little direct supervision in a low stress working environment.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing a small part-time sales team.
Generating new advertising customers.
Meeting with advertisers and maintaining on-going advertising relationships.
Staying involved in the local business community to develop relationships and new advertising clients.
Creating and coordinating advertising campaigns for assigned clients.
Working with advertisers in producing recorded radio commercials.
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years in media advertising sales
Strong people skills and a commitment to staff and community partners
Ability to edit and produce radio commercials
Strong computer skills including desktop audio editing
Working knowledge of Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office
