Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children from infancy to preschool age. The Daycare Teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans, teaching, and managing the classroom while ensuring the overall well-being and development of the children while following minimum standards.
Duties
- Plan and implement daily activities that promote childhood development, including educational games, arts, and physical exercises.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Manage classroom behavior and develop strategies to address any behavioral issues that may arise.
- Provide infant care, including feeding, burping, and changing diapers.
- Administer first aid when necessary.
- Engage with children, promote social skills, and encourage positive behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive childcare environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices.
- Proven classroom management skills, including the ability to maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Current certification in first aid and CPR.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Experience with behavior management and addressing behavioral issues.
- Familiarity with the principles of childhood development and the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
