Join the Greater Portland Pet Sitting team! We're a reputable company providing in-home pet care, dog walking, and pet taxi services throughout the Greater Portland area. We are currently seeking a reliable, honest, and experienced pet sitter to join our team.

This position is part-time and offers flexible hours, with client assignments growing based on your availability. To start, you’ll be working an average of 5 hours per week. We're looking for someone who can grow with our company.

Responsibilities:

• Walking dogs in their neighborhoods.
• Providing in-home pet care for dogs, cats and small animals. Pet care visits vary in duration, ranging from 15 to 30 minutes.
• Feeding and refreshing water.
• Cleaning up after pets, including scooping litter boxes.
• Using a smartphone to update clients daily.
• Administering medications if needed   
• Watering plants, collecting mail, and handling trash/recycling bins as necessary.

Job Requirements:
 

• Pet sitting experience and a genuine love for animals.
• Commitment to at least six months of working with us.
• Availability to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a reliable smartphone.
• Have a reliable and fully insured vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to provide professional references.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must reside within the service area (Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, Gorham, Scarborough and Falmouth).
