IT Systems - Paid Internship

Position Summary

Direct One is seeking a motivated IT Systems Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of Information Technology. As an IT Systems Intern, you will assist in the maintenance, support, and enhancement of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and possesses strong problem-solving skills. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to develop practical skills and gain insights into IT operations within a professional setting. 

Position Functions: 

• Assist in the maintenance and support of IT systems and infrastructure. 
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users. 
• Support network administration tasks, including monitoring and maintenance. 
• Assist with system upgrades and software installations. 
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff members. 
• Document technical procedures and update IT manuals. 
• Participate in IT projects and contribute to team initiatives. 
• Participate in security audits and vulnerability testing. 
• Understand security and compliance requirements as they relate to IT systems and processes. 

Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure. 
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS)  
• Familiarity with M365 applications including Teams. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
